LSS Youth Education and Employment Initiative

The LSS Youth Employment and Education Initiative (YEEI) provides programs for job training and skills development for former foster youth and formerly homeless youth ages 18-24 who reside in LSS of Northern California transitional and permanent supportive housing programs.

The YEEI consists of two main programs: A Novel Idea and A Clean Start

A Novel Idea

This online bookstore enables youth to focus on attainment of living-wage employment and education completion, leading to lifetime self-sufficiency. (Sacramento only)

A Clean Start

This apartment and office cleaning enterprise enables youth to focus on attainment of living-wage employment and education completion, leading to lifetime self-sufficiency.
